What are the advantages
of certified programmes?
Certified programmes ensure that:
How does the label
work in practice?
Application
Independent expertise
Open and transparent evaluation
Funding opportunities
Application
Requests for applications should be submitted to the German Road Safety Council (DVR) by the training provider. The DVR provides a list of criteria as well as an application form, which must be completed in English or German and sent back to the DVR.
Independent expertise
Documents are forwarded to the independent Review Committee so that they can provide their expert opinion and make an initial assessment of the applicant’s programme. If this first assessment is positive, independent experts take part in a practical rider training session on site to check if the training offer meets the high-quality criteria in terms of programme content, qualification of trainers, training methodology and quality assurance.
Open and transparent evaluation
The analysis of the post-license training programme is carried out in an open and transparent manner by independent experts. This allows us to ensure that the training is delivered in a fully-fledged manner. Annual on-the-spot inspections are carried out by the DVR in order to ensure that the training programme continues to be delivered to a high standard.
Funding opportunities
The costs of examining the training courses must be covered by the training provider. Cost estimates are provided on request. The label is granted for a period of 4 years (renewable).
Are you
a training
provider?
All institutions offering post-licence rider training can submit applications to the label. Motorcycle training schools offering the same training programme can submit joint applications.
